Campaign Story

Scott and I (Jenn) have been on our journey to parenthood since 2017. Like a lot of couples, we thought it would happen naturally, but after some time we knew we needed help.

In 2018, what was supposed to be routine surgery revealed severe stage 4 endometriosis that I had no idea I had. It resulted in losing an ovary and a fallopian tube, which meant our path forward was going to be even more challenging than we’d imagined.

We didn’t give up though. We worked with different clinics over the years, trying everything we could. After years of unsuccessful attempts, we made the difficult but hopeful decision in 2024 to move forward with donor eggs. It felt like we’d finally found our answer. We created two genetically tested embryos and felt more optimistic than we had in years.

Our first transfer in December 2024 didn’t work. We were heartbroken, but we still had one more embryo. We did additional testing, made lifestyle changes, and tried everything we could to prepare for our second transfer this past October. It failed too.

Eight years. That’s how long we’ve been fighting for this. We’ve been incredibly fortunate that we’ve had some insurance coverage throughout our journey, but our current plan doesn’t cover any IVF treatment. We’re at a point where we need to try one more donor egg cycle, and we simply can’t move forward without help.

We’re asking for support from our friends, family, and community because we’re not ready to give up on becoming parents. We’ve watched from the sidelines for years as friends and family have grown their families, and we’re just desperate for our chance. We know we have so much love to give a child, and one more cycle could be what finally brings our baby home.

This process is emotionally and financially exhausting, and any help you can offer would mean everything to us, whether that’s through a donation or simply sharing this with others.

Below is a breakdown of the costs we’re facing:
Donor Frozen Eggs, Embryo Creation + Transfer: $18,000
1 Year Embryo Storage: $600
Genetic Testing: $2,500 (paid to genetics lab, non-financeable)
Medications: $1,000 (paid to pharmacy, non-financeable)
Total: $22,100

If we’re fortunate enough to exceed our goal, any additional funds will go toward future prenatal care once we achieve a successful pregnancy.
We can’t thank you enough for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer. After eight years of trying, we just need one more chance.
